At last!!
I had the chance to fulfil a dream of mine - photographing the majestic Aurora Borealis Aurora Borealis is a phenomena accuring in the vacinity to the north and south pole (in the south it's called Aurora australis). The reason for it is collision of charged particles from the sun (AKA Solar Wind) with the upper earth's atmosphere near the poles because of the earth's magnetic field. Although the above explanation ruins some of the magic of this amazing phenomena, I wanted you to know the magic behind it. The photo was taken in Rovaniemi, which is the capital of Lapland, Finland. I was there last week for an artctic experience, which was amazing. be sure to see more photos coming soon All the best, Roie Galitz my website |
