This is the male Weaver.
he works very hard to weave a fine nest for the female (and chicks) with the opening away from the branch so that snakes can't enter.
the female picks the male with the nicest nest, and if she doesn't approve she drops it from the tree to the ground and the male starts over.

Male's life are tough...

Amazing. Such great colors; very natural looking greens and the extremely vivid yellow of the bird, with just the bit of red. Very nice. Also, the focus and sharpness here are just perfect. Even at this size you can see the individual feathers on him.

Excellent job, as always.
