Humming Birds are magnificent little birds
They drink the nectar of the flowers, and they sure are sweet This week is the Jewish New Year, and we say a greeting "May your new year be sweet as honey", so I thought there's no photo more suitable for this greeting than the hummingbird drinking its sweet nectar. So I wish you a Happy New Year, sweeter than Honey May all your wishes come true and dream fulfilled "Shana Tova" Best regards, Roie Galitz |

"Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter"
First I'd like to say this an incredible shot, you have captured this bird so perfectly. I cannot imagine how hard it is to take a photo of a hummingbird.
I was just wondering, what lens were you using? I don't know of a lens with a 420mm focal length...
Keep up the awesome work!

[link] Spooky, huh?
thanks, It's not that easy, but when you understand the technique it's okay.
just keep the shutter speed over 1/2000 and you're alright.
the lens is Sigma 120-300 F/2.8 with X1.4 teleconverter = 420mm F/4
thanks,
Roie Galitz
